Best comeback ever

The Set-up
I am riding my bike downtown on an errand for Mackenzie. We all know Jacksonville is not a very bike friendly city. People here do not understand the concept of yeilding to bike, much less pedestrians. I have just come off the line side-by-side with this seafoam Honda Civic. We are still side-by-side when we come to a narrow place in the road and the car starts steering into me! I am like WTF!?! Just then a woman leans her head out the window and yell "Hey Asshole, ride on the sidewalk and this won't happen!"

The best comeback ever
So me in my state of pissed off suprise yell back "Hey! Bikes are for people too!!" Confused and suprised the woman in the car half heartedly apologized and I rode off thinking to myself that was probably on of the dumbest things I have ever said.

I always hate those moments, where you think of all of these great things to say a little too late. Maybe it is good though, I am sure this will happen to you again and they will feel your wrath.

my wrath shall be felt! actually I hope it doesn't happen again. Nanner "I did mean roads are for bikes too!" Thank you for verbalizing that much better than I ever could have, obviously

in chicago i think youre kind of looked at as an asshole if you ride on the sidewalk. i love that you yelled back, even though it confused her.

i think amanda and timmy told me a while back that you wanted a fixed-gear bike. is this right? have you ridden one? maybe they just said road bike.

Fixed gears have an inherent danger I dont think I can handle yet. I have know quite a few people that injured themselves on fixed gear bike. I do have a single speed that I am loving. There is a picture of it here
