Penelope’s: This sunny Wicker Park store is, hands down, one of our favorite shopping destinations in Chicago. While the racks are full of subtly cool wares for men and women by labels such as Built By Wendy and Wooden Mustache, this is not necessarily a store for trend-victim fashionistas, but rather a mecca for laidback hipsters who prefer the effortlessly cool look. And it’s not just the merch that keeps us coming back for more: the friendly staff is just as cheery as the electric sky blue walls.
